Thank  you so much for the quick response! I think so to my son is 16 months old and I want to start so many traditions I think this is going to be one! That makes perfect sense the bottom of my soup can was defiently rounded like you described...I was getting so frustrated I do not want an electric can opener lol I have made it this long without one :) So glad I just had the wrong can.]]></description>

And I just used a regular hand-held can opener, but you need to make sure your can has a big enough &quot;lip&quot; on the underside- some of them have a soft of rounded edge and I would imagine the can opener wouldn&#039;t be able to grip this type of edge.]]></description>
