This End of the Year Teacher Gift could not be any easier (or adorable) to create! Grab a few kitchen items and wrap up a gift that is simply PERFECT for teachers!
Here are a few more Teacher Appreciation ideas: Teacher Support Kit, Staff Appreciation Fish Pouches and Thanks For Helping Me Grow Tags.
Every year, our elementary school sends out an email with a list of all the teacher’s favorite things – their favorite color, treat, hobby, etc. One thing all THREE of my kid’s teachers had in common was that they loved to cook, and since I love a good pun, I decided to create this clever tag to go with a bunch of kitchen items!
To make this gift you’ll just need an oven mitt and some kitchen items to stuff inside. This gift is simple and inexpensive, and you can literally include whatever you’d like! Most of the items I bought are from Ikea (aren’t those hot pads so fun?!) but the dollar store would be another great place to grab your supplies. 🙂 You could even throw in your teacher’s favorite treat – anything goes!

This is such a great gift – waaaay better than giving a teacher school supplies! As the daughter of a second grade teacher who has been teaching for more than 35 years, I thought I’d share a this great piece of advice: Most teachers do not want pencils and candy as an appreciation gift. Yes, it’s the thought that counts, but their lives do not revolve around pens and pencils. Teachers are normal human beings outside of the classroom, so a gift card to a restaurant, the mall, a pedicure, manicure, Target (never Barnes and Noble) are great gifts. And, if money is tight, my mom always appreciates a hand-written note from the student instead of a Starbucks card that was probably picked up 10 minutes before school. Just thought I’d share this with everyone as you consider teachers this week!
As a former classroom teacher, I would ahve loved this gift!!
